Virtual Visit Options

At Impact Sports & Spine, we offer different virtual services depending on where a patient is located. Currently, we provide full telehealth services to patients who reside in Maryland. 

At the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, telehealth laws and restrictions were loosened to allow for greater patient access to telemedicine services. Since that time, however, pre-pandemic restrictions have been restored by nearly every state in the US. Since we are located in Rockville, MD, we are solely permitted to provide full telehealth services in Maryland only.

While we are only permitted to provide telehealth services locally, we recognize that patients from further destinations may seek our expertise in sports and musculoskeletal injuries, spinal conditions, and regenerative medicine. For such patients, we offer a virtual records review option. Through this option, patients may send any relevant medical history and imaging reports for our detailed review. Depending on our review, we may advise an in-person evaluation and possible treatment.     

Our telehealth appointments are conducted via video calls. We utilize a service that allows us to connect directly with you on your phone; thus, you do not need to download any additional programs or log into a waiting room while you await your call. To ensure a smooth and productive virtual visit, here are some essential preparation tips:

• Ensure you have reliable service and a strong signal to avoid interruptions or poor video quality.
• Choose a quiet and private place for your appointment.
• Make sure your device is fully charged or connected to a power source.
• Have all relevant medical records, including previous diagnoses, test results, and any current medications, readily available.
• Prepare a list of questions or concerns you would like to discuss during your appointment.
